Rico Town Park upgrade options reviewed at July 10 community meeting
About 25 Rico residents attended a Town Park upgrades workshop July 10 at Town Hall, beginning at 5:30 PM. Town of Rico engaged Fischer Project Management (FPM) in 2022 to investigate grant funding sources and solicit recreation equipment bids from vendors. FPM presented results of its equipment and structural coverings requests for proposals submitted by vendors.
"FPM has more than 20 years experience in Colorado, focusing on rural communities," stated Christine Fischer. "Ten FPM projects received the Colorado Lottery Starburst Award."
Starburst Awards recognize excellence in the use of Lottery funds for community and conservation projects. Lottery proceeds are distributed statewide through grants via Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), the Conservation Trust Fund, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, and Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST).
